Extensively Tested and Guaranteed to Deliver

Runflat Testing

Tyron ATR system has been tested in accordance with the Finabel Standard for distance and speed. The Tyron ATR exceeded the requirements. TuV tested the TYRON 17″ ATR Runflat on Toyota Fortuna for 100km @ 50km/h with 2 tyres deflated plus a further 50km @ 30km/h with all 4 tyres deflated. TuV tested Tyron MultiBand on a range of vehicles for 3km at 80km/h plus 3km at 50km/h through a handling course. Official certificate and video is available. It is important to understand that many factors can alter the result of a test. They include speed, weight, aspect ratio of tyre, age of tyre, make of tyre, road conditions, reason for the deflation and ambient temperature.

Ballistic Testing

The Tyron ATR has been ballistically tested with great emphasis on the connections. 

The Finabel test require five shots of 7.62mm rounds through the side wall of the tyre and two shots into the tread area. During the test of TYRON ATR System,  20 rounds were fired through the sidewall of the tyre from 50mm standoff and 15 rounds from 25mm standoff through the tread area (35 total). Special effort was aimed at the connections with some direct hits which ricocheted off and the others passed through without any structural damage.
