Safetydrape® is the only blast curtain system that has been independently tested to mitigate glass hazard under various blast and impact loads. This patented drapery system is designed to be attach to the interior frame of a window essentially to trap flying glass shards and debris caused by a blast wave.

The Safetydrape® is anchored at the head of the window while remaining fabric is stored in a trough retaining mechanism anchored beneath the window. When a blast occur pressure from the blast load unfurls the drape from the trough to create an envelope that captures the flying shrapnel. Once the blast pressure dissipates the drape deposits the glass shards and debris on the floor at the base of the window. Hazard level to occupants as a result of flying glass can be significantly reduced by the installation of Safetydrape®.

SAFETYDRAPE® is independently tested to meet and exceed the GSA’s glass hazard requirement, as well as the DoD minimum Anti-terrorism Standards for Buildings (UFC 4-010-01).
