Directive 2004/108/EC limits the electromagnetic emissions of equipment and fixed installations in order to prevent interference caused by other equipment or fixed installations or that it can be affected by interference.
This involves electr(on)ic appliances and fixtures that contain electr(on)ic components. The manufacturer or importer must carry out an internal audit procedure to assess whether the equipment meets the essential requirements of the current Directive.
